Thu Wheels bike tour pt 2

Gem: Tu Ducs tomb was a world away from the previous one, this guy was flash, he had a lake built in which he kept exotic fish and rare birds, he may even have had swans but they are not sure. Best thing about this guy is that apart from being an emperor of the Nguyen dynasty, he was born on the 22nd September!
The small island had wild animals on it and he would often go hunting, and when he wasn't hunting he was entertaining one of his 180 concubines!

Next was the Thien Mu pagoda

Tu Ducs was a social activist and he hated the restrictions placed on Buddhists by the French catholic colonists, so much so that he staged a protest by driving into the centre of town, visiting a petrol station, sitting o the ground in Lotus position and then setting himself on fire. The blue car is an Austin and its the car he drove himself to his death in.... Bit weird.
Next, as the heavens opened we drove to the Japanese bridge
