Phill & Gem on Tour: Honeymoon night

Tonight was always going to be about treating ourselves as we had always considered this to be our 'Honeymoon Night' and a huge thank you needs to be sent out to the Holians. Your amazing gift means that we can really indulge ourselves in what we love most, great food and wine.

Just a quick recap... We arrived at the reception area in Nha Trang after getting picked up at the train station, and we're served lovely chilled ginger tea before getting aboard the speedboat that was taking us to the bay

We were met on the jetty by Gary the general manager and were introduced to our butler.......yes I just said butler..... Mr Lhun, Lhun would be on hand 24/7 should we need anything and his first task would be to drive us around in the golf buggy, showing us all the essential bits before dropping us off at the steps to our villa (see the previous entry for a brief descript of the villa, we have been having blog issues as it keeps deleting them for some reason. I have already re-written this three times)
We get ready in the villa, making use of the steamroom/shower,
And tucking into the bottle of champagne and fruit bowl that Gemma and Adam bought for us, thanks guys it was absolutley delicious...

before being picked up by Mr Lhun in the buggy and taken to 'Dining by the Bay' a two tier open terrace restaurant that has the sea lapping at the front steps, it's totally amazing and the breeze blowing in off the sea is beautifully cool.
We opted for Vietnamese Hand Rolls and Bouillabasse to start (the hand rolls are like a spring roll but wrapped in thin rice paper and steamed not fried, they were delicious. And Gems Bouillabasse was really rich and creamy and tasted like the fresh sea without being fishy if that makes sense) and then for our main we shared a Dang Lat Seafood Pot which is a hot broth of fish stock ginger and lemongrass, brought to the table and then prepared at the table is the mix of scallops, king prawn, snapper fillet, calamari, chicken and beef. This is then served in a bowl over a portion of rice noodles and topped with green chilli. Again this was incredible (I be the feeling I may use Incredible Amazing and Wonderful quite a bit so please forgive me). The waiter who served us was called Nam and he is a really nice guy, speaks great English but unfortunately follows Man Utd....as most Asians seem to!
