So, after the parade we went back to the hotel room and got changed before going out to a restaurant called Ocean Republic, it's owned by a German guy who trains local young people in the hospitality industry, so all the front of house and kitchen staff are trainees. The food was gorgeous and the setting was a bit special too! Right on the beachfront With the water literally 10ft from our table. We had Bruschetta and chicken satay to start, and then Bratwurst with spicy tomato sauce, grilled red snapper, grilled chilli prawns. I know it's an odd menu but we really enjoyed trying very different things that were available.
The local Saigon beer is good, and best of all only 25p per bottle!
I know it doesn't look that appealing from this angle but it was so yummy, it was caramelised in a soy glaze.
We then sat at the bar and tequila shots before getting a taxi to a beach bar called Pogo where we had a couple of cocktails and then strolled home along the beach, carrying our sandals in hand and our feet in the water... It was perfect. Then when we got back to our villa we got a couple of beers and sat on our porch, it then became a brilliant idea for me to recreate the scene from Bridget jones 2 where she eats a magic mushroom omelette and walks out of the sea and onto the beach, we did get it on video but it may never see the light of day!
Oh yeah we bought a Vietnamese hat!

Unfortunately I then spotted a massive lizard on the wall of our room and I freaked out, deciding to spend the rest of the evening sat outside on the porch!!!! Phill somehow managed to convince me that I would be ok under a mosquito net, and after he set it all up for me I dived under and tried to get some sleep. Surprisingly i woke up with the alarm at 7:30 to get packed up and get our train from Muong Man train station to Nha Trang.
After a quick breakfast we got our taxi and arrived with about ten minutes to spare! Turns out the train station was further away than we thought so there was a bit of breath holding!
The train was ok, it was air conditioned and had comfy seats, no food this time though!

The big difference this time is that we were met at Nha Trang train Station by a man holding a bit of paper with Mr Gemma Davis on it........our six senses experience had begun!
