I don't think this needs much narrative, the pics speak for themself. After the morning of tai chi, yoga and paddle boarding we got picked up to board the little boat about 5 for a sunset cruise. We got some fizz and canapés and spent about an hour and a half cruising around the bay. We also went and visited a lobster farm and got off the boat.
On our cruise we passed a lobster farm and on the way back we stopped off at one of them. The lobster farm is situated just offshore and there are about 20 small farms all within close proximity of one another, the farmers all work for one company and it turns out that they start doing it from about 14 years old and they live alone on their floating home for about 5 years, getting to go back home once every 12 weeks. They only have a couple of dogs for company and there is absolutely no women!
The baby lobsters are spawned and then 'housed' in coral, this coral is then lowered to the seabed and the location is displayed using fishing wire tied around the coral and a plastic bottle. The coral gives the lobster protection and stops them drifting off with the current.
What did we learn today - Vietnamese lobster is also called Dragon lobster and they don't have the characteristic claw but they do have a sweeter meat in the tail because it is constantly in use.
