Night out in Ho Chi Minh

HIYA!
We are just getting ready to go out in hcmc, think we are going to go to a place called Quang Nuog which is a rooftop BBQ above Fanny (snigger! which is an ice cream parlour) or we are going to El Gaucho an Argentinian steakhouse. Then We will probs go for a cocktail in Allez Boo, but it wont be a late one as we have to be at the train station for 5am, so will be up at 4!
When we got into hcmc after leaving the Mekong, we checked into our £13 a night hotel and were really surprised to get a walk n wet room type shower, fridge, air con and free wi-fi!!! What more do you need?

And can we just say a massive thank you to Jon and Helen for sorting our accommodation for us, it's a real weight off our minds knowing we have got a comfortable air-con room to come back to.

Then we went out for a wander around and to find a bank to change some dosh, I think we have nearly mastered the art of crossing the road without screaming 'LEGGITT'.
On the way back from the bank we stopped at a street vendor who had some tasty looking dumpling type thing, sorry no pics as it was raining, not sure what it was but we bought one anyway as it looked good, turns out it was a fried dumpling a bit like a doughnut with an apricot sort of jam in the middle, it was delish and we probably could have eaten three each.

Cheers to Sian and Rob for giving us some cash to get street food, I'm sure there will be plenty more where they came from, as they were too tasty!

We stopped and had a coffee over the road from our hotel, the coffee is gorgeous, you get it in a little metal container that sits on top of your cup and it drips into your cup so it's mega fresh, I had mine withi condensed milk.. Cheeky! Gem went for an iced peach tea with 'bubbles' that was lovely and turned out the bubbles were small balls of peach jelly.
Right got to go and get a taxi, might not be able to write anything until tomorrow night now, laters!

Location:HCMC Saigon mini 5 hotel
