Anyway, we got to Munich a bit late as we had tech probs!! We have a six hour wait at the blummin airport so decided we would head to the festival and get very drunk on beer but we couldn't get out of the airport without getting our baggage and we are on a transfer anyway:( probably for the best!
So here we are... I have slept..ish for a few mins on a really uncomfy chair and we have just sat really, reading, and wandering around the shops and trying on Giorgio Armarni make up and spraying every thing i could and trying on loads of lotion and potions...posh ones that i cant afford of course!! I brought nothing but came away smelling like a tarts handbag! (This is Phill going on record to point out that Gem smells nothing like a tart)

Sleeping in the airport!
So, other photos from the festival and then in a few hours it will be all about the land of the curry! Although i now know from Mr Cyrus Todiwala that curry just means in sauce so what the english class as curry all the time isnt really and the indians NEVER use madras powder, it was a british invention... I knew that from the lovely Rick Stein first, speaking of Rick....

We watched a rib eating competition that Phill was tempted to enter but the fact that he had just eaten a croissant for our breakfast in bed from mum and glynn....

And some smoked haddock chowder, some chorizo, pea and ham hock pie and then a grillstock pulled pork and coleslaw bap!!! I put my foot down and told him he wasn't allowed!!! It was gross to watch to be honest but then i don't really like the whole stuffing your face thing but then i love food and i ate loads at the festival so i cant talk!!

We met two lovely guys and chatted about sustainability, cider, community orchards and community hydro stations in the black mountains in the brecon beacons...nice guys and we got to have some pressed apple juice.

Phill tucked into some churros and choc sauce

before we headed to the ice-cream tent and had some proseco sorbet and blood orange and spiced rum sorbet....blimey we ate so much! Those people who said to me that i wasn't eating enough over the last few weeks what with the protein diet... I made up for it!
On sunday phill and i went to see Val Warner and Matt Tebett for a masterclass and Val came across really well.

We also went to see Cyrus Todiwala as we had booked onto Shelina who won Masterchef but she hurt her back and so he covered for her. We had a lovely bit of swordfish in pomegranate jus and butterbean curry with a roti. Yum.

After the class we headed to buy some books, i came away with 6 books from the festival with 4 of them signed...a bit pricey but they were a birthday pressie to myself

and i am going to try new things when i get home from india as i want to start smoking and curing my own meat and cheese and making sausages etc for my supper club.
Once back at the Glass House we jumped in the hot tub
and a bit later Phill prepped some nibbles and then Phill drove home which takes you back to the first posting and at the same time brings us to an end of talking about our lovely treat of a weekend away for Phills Birthday and our anniversary doing something we both Love which is simply food...and drink!
Location:Sat in a bar in munich airport waiting for flight and bored!
